Accessorize

No, i'm not talking about purses or shoes here, this is afterall, a snowmobile blog!! When it comes to snowmobiles there are hundreds or even thousands of aftermarket parts to make your ride unique or a sleeper in disguise. These days, the snowmobiles we ride are as unique as the people riding them, from sled wraps to aftermarket suspensions or even just a few stickers, it is hard to find a stock sled anymore. I have done a few mods myself over the past couple years and some stand out more than the others, for the most part I perfer function over fashion and in some special cases they fit both. I purchased a boss seat for my xp last season and I have to say that was an excellent buy, not only does it look great it provides lots of extra benifits over the stock seat, the comfort is incredible and you also have plenty of extra storage for your tools, glovess and even a lunch for the day. Another great upgrade I installed were quick clickers for my clutch, this is a cheap, easy bolt on product that allows the easy adjustment of your RPM's in varying snow conditions!!  There are also some products you may not consider an accessory such as aftermarket belts. I have recently upgraded to Carlisle Ultimax drive belts and have nothing but great things to say about them, not only do they cost nearly half the price, the performance and life are unmatched by any other in the industry. I would love to test all the upgrades available for snowmobiles but we all know that is not going to happen, so lets hear about YOUR favorite mod and why?

One of my personal favorities would have to be my CFR (Cheetah Factory Racing) rack. Nothing beats the ease and quickness of strapping on my skis for those days we spend sled access skiing. Yes, i'll admit that I have installed both fashionable and functional upgrades but the functional upgrades are always the ones that make your day more convenient. I think accessorizing your sled tells a little about the person driving it. It shows us that our sport is growing and that people are very passionate about it. Maybe thats why we enjoy it so much! I can't think of any better way to spend a few hours then out in the garage working on your ride with your buddies sipping on a cold one.

One accessory I personally like is a set vforce 3 reeds, along with the little bit if added horsepower ( which adds up quickly with every little engine up grade) you also get better fuel mileage! And we all like that, easier on the wallet

At present, I sport two awesome Polaris accessories on the '12 Assault Switchback; a gas rack and Polaris tunnel bag. I really like the Polaris set up for the tunnel attachments and the storage bag has got to be one of the best out there...holds my shovel too...when it's not on my back.
